After originally claiming that his most recent visit to North Korea was primarily to help continue bringing sports to the country, former NBA star Dennis Rodman has again made headlines by seeming to take credit for North Korea’s release of U.S. college student Otto Warmbier. Speaking during a recent appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ following his return to the United States from Pyongyang, Rodman and his agent Chris Volo noted that Volo had asked the North Korean government three times for Warmbier’s release as a sign of good faith.
Although she is best known for her role as Hermione in the ‘Harry Potter’ film franchise, British actress Emma Watson is also famous for her views of feminism and her championing of women’s rights. As it so happens, she apparently also has a huge affinity for books, and it is these two interests combined that led her to join up with the non-profit organization The Book Fairies this past week in order to leave copies of Margaret Atwood’s novel ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ hidden around Paris.
In news that is sure to thrill ‘Star Wars’ fans across the globe, it has been announced that famed director Ron Howard is stepping in to take over as director of the upcoming Han Solo spin-off movie. The standalone film, which is still set to be released in May 2018, will follow the exploits of a young Solo. The part of Han Solo will be played by Alden Ehrenreich, while other notable actors signed on to the project include Thandie Newton and Woody Harrelson.
