Kanye West recently announced that he is running for presidency. It is a decision that shocked many since he has been publicly supporting the current president Donald Trump for a long time.

Kanye West is a famous fashion designer, producer, artist and a record label executive. The Hip hop musician seems to have an intense interest in politics.

This is evident through an announcement of his race for the most powerful office in the land on 4th July on Twitter. Well, the rapper has severally talked about his intentions to vie for the most potent sit in the country. However, this time around, he seems determined based on his statement.

Last November while speaking in an event, the Grammy winner opened up about his ambitions and said that when he will be running for the presidency in 2024, he will have created so many jobs such that he will not run but walk. Moreover, in a speech he gave five years ago in MTV Video Music Awards, West revealed that he had plans to run for the presidency in 2020.

For many years the titan of hip-hop has raised eyebrows due to his outspoken support of the current America President, Trump. He publicly praised him on radio and television interviews and the two constantly tweeted at one another. West changed his mind in 2018 and declared publicly he had realized that he had been spreading messages he does not believe in and he would distance himself from politics and focus on being creative.

In an interview with Forbes, he confirmed that he would indeed run for the presidency in 2020 under a new banner “The Birthday Party.” He further claimed that Elon Musk will guide him but did not disclose who will run as his vice president. West also confirmed that he was no longer supporting president trump in a statement that he was taking the red hat off. He also revealed that he has never cast a vote all his life and he envisions a White House organizational model based on Wakanda in Black Panther.

Business-wise Kanye has been doing well this year. He landed his spaceship at the Gap and signed a ten year deal of his Yeezy branded clothes that is worth approximately $100 million. This will automatically enable the Yeezy brand to reach more price-conscious customers. Entertainment wise West is still offering his fans some good music to listen to. He recently released two new songs; one of them is “Wash Us in the Blood.” This is the first song in God’s Country his upcoming album.

The rapper is a real estate investor. He has a vision of being the most prominent real estate developer of all times. At one point he purchased a 300-acre estate in a high-end community Calabasas Los Angeles, as well as two ranches in Wyoming. Moreover, together with his wife Kim Kardashian, they transformed a McMansion into a Cavernous eclectic abode which has been unfolded on several esteemed magazines covers.

The renowned musician never shy off to express his support for what he believes in. Recently, he joined Black Lives Matters protests in Chicago to seek justice for George Floyd. He further launched college fund for Floyd’s daughter Gianna. The fund’s purpose is to cover the girl’s tuition fee fully. Moreover, he donated $2million as the legal fee to Arbery and Taylor’s families.

Healthy wise West is doing well after recovering from the deadly Coronavirus on February this year. He treated the disease at home by taking hot showers and learning online through videos on how to cope with the disease. As he was telling about his battle with COVID-19 pandemic, he seemed cautious of a possible vaccine due to prevailing adverse effects caused by the same. Moreover, he believes being prayerful can change the current situation.

Kanye West is recently on the lime right after revealing his plans to run for the presidency in 2020. However, he was not able to get on the ballot since he was suffering from Coronavirus in February.
