Boris Johnson was born on January 19, 1964, in New York City. His father, Stanley Johnson, is an American businessman, while his mother, Charlotte Johnson Wahl, was originally from Missouri. Boris Johnson worked extensively in New York after finishing his schooling. He studied at Eton College, graduating with a degree in English literature. Boris Johnson began his career as an article writer for The Times and was later appointed chief political commentator for the Daily Telegraph in 1989 under the editorship of Max Hastings. Boris Johnson also contributed to several other publications, including The Spectator.
