September 6, 2017 - By

On May 11, 2017, Lime Crime, a cosmetics company owned by Doe Deere, announced that it would be offering Kitty Bundles. Doe Deere, the owner of Lime Crime, has declared that 20 percent of the proceeds from the sales of the Kitty Bundles will be donated to Kitty Bungalow. This is an organization in Los Angeles that takes in cats that have been abandoned or that have been found on the street. The organization rehabilitates the cats, teaching them how to use a litter box or how to interact with people before they are put up for adoption.

Lime Crime is a company that is 100 percent vegan-free. None of the products that are sold by the company are tested on animals. This is an organization that means a lot to Doe Deere as she loves animals. Many of the people who work for Lime Crime love animals as well and are happy to create the Kitty Bundles as a way to give something back to this organization. Some of the people who work for Lime Crime adopt animals that need a home or foster them until a permanent home can be found. There are a few different Kitty Bundles to choose from, each with fun items that customers may have already seen in the past:

* MEOW includes Diamond Crushers Lit and Cheap Thrill

* POUNCE includes Unicorn Lipsticks Varsity and Pom Pom

* PURR includes Metallic Matte Velvetines Lana and Happi

* BITE features the Velvetines Fetish and Polly

Colors included in the bundles are bold and bright, allowing women to be the dazzling unicorn that they are while wearing everything from lipstick to eyeshadow. The Kitty Bundles can be purchased on the Lime Crime website.

What Is Kitty Bungalow?

The Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats was founded when Headmistress Simons discovered several cats living in her 100-year-old home. The cats were not neutered or spayed, so they continued to have kittens on a regular basis. Simons knew that she needed to do something to help these cats and to prevent them from reproducing in the future. When she gathered the cats and started to nurture them, she applied for non-profit status in 2009 in Los Angeles so that she could start Kitty Bungalow. She is a dedicated Headmistress who spends time taking in cats and kittens that are on the street, nurturing them so that they are in a good position to be adopted by a loving family. There are a few cats from the original few that Simons had in her home that still live at Kitty Bungalow.

There is a curriculum for the cats that are housed at Kitty Bungalow. Whether the cats are uncooperative and won’t let anyone hold them or they are just shy and need attention, Headmistress Simons, along with other volunteers, work with each cat so that they are comfortable being around humans. There are no cages at Kitty Bungalow as the staff uses forced love to rehabilitate the cats. When the cats have graduated, they are placed for adoption into loving homes. There are a few programs that are offered by Kitty Bungalow that utilize the cats that have been rehabilitated. One is the work program where cats are used to trap mice and other small rodents. The organization relies on donations from outside sources, such as Lime Crime and Doe Deere.
