New “WAP” Video With Cameo By Kylie Jenner Has Cardi B And Stallion Fans In An Uproar

So far, Instagram queen Kylie Jenner is saying nothing about her surprise appearance in the new raunchy video that dropped on Friday. It stars rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion in WAP, an XXX-rated kind of music video. Kylie strolls into the picture at the 1:40-minute mark draped in sexy, barely-there leopard print fabric, but rapper fans are up-in-arms about her cameo, saying that it steals attention away from the two sensual, black hip-hop stars.

Kylie has not issued any kind of statement so far. She posted her stunning cameo appearance in the video for her more than 189 million social media fans to see on her personal Instagram page. Those who love the makeup mogul are also giving her performance two thumbs up. Kylie has received more than “10 million likes” and counting for the posted cameo.

However, some hip-hop fans are so infuriated about having Kylie Jenner’s presence in the video that a petition containing some 47,500 signatures as of Saturday morning was organized to have her removed from the footage.

Some angry females responded on social media to say that Kylie Jenner, as a white woman, is a “culture stealing colonizer.”

That certainly isn’t how Cardi B sees the video. On her Twitter page, she tweeted that she included women of “different races” and “different backgrounds” for a reason. She believes that these women are also are “so powerful and influential.”

Cardi B did not go on to mention the name of Kylie Jenner in her tweets.

Despite the vitriol targeted at the Kardashian reality TV star, CNN.com Entertainment reports that the music video had such a tremendous debut that it picked up 21 million views on YouTube alone in less than 24 hours.

Although there are many applauding Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion for starring in WAP, there are others who find the video to be degrading, filthy and disgraceful.

DeAnna Lorraine, a former congressional candidate who ran against Nancy Pelosi, blasted WAP on her Twitter page saying that the video was disgusting, and “Cardi B is infecting the black culture with this depravity.”

Podcast host Larry Johnson wasn’t holding back either and tweeted that the rappers needed Jesus, and he also zeroed in on the Bronx native. “…Cardi B teaching her daughter how to be like her, prostitute, stripper, etc. smh.”

“WAP” is the lead single from Cardi B’s long-awaited second album, the follow-up to her 2018 debut “Invasion of Privacy.” She admits that the lyrics are very dirty and had trouble trying to clean them up for radio playing. It’s not certain at this time if any radio station is playing the song or if it has been banned for its vulgarness.

There are also cameos in the music video from break-out stars that Cardi B says are some of her favorites and will be going mainstream. They include Normani and Rosalía to up-and-comers like Mulatto, Sukihana and Rubi Rose.

Tigers, cheetahs and snakes also appear in WAP. The snakes were the real thing and not computer-generated. Yup, those snakes were live, and both Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion rolled around with the snakes during the filming of the video.

Kris Jenner, Kylie’s mother, was present on the set during the filming of her daughter’s cameo appearance in WAP.
