What Dr. Rochelle Walensky Thinks About the Increasing Coronavirus NumbersAugust 11, 2021
Just recently, Dr. Rochelle Walensky attended an interview conducted by CNN. He answered questions about the rising cases of COVID-19 patients in 46 American states. He said that the rise resulted from combining the new Delta variation and individuals who have not received the jab. The coronavirus cases have risen by not less than ten percent in the 46 states.
The doctor noted that unvaccinated individuals led in the numbers of those infected, hospitalized, and dead people. He also indicated that more youths are being admitted to hospitals with coronavirus symptoms. In Missouri, for example, most of the residents have not been vaccinated, one of the areas that have the most Delta strain infections.
The United States government posted a team of experts to vaccinate the area residents to reduce coronavirus cases. In the initial days of the pandemic and before vaccinations were introduced, the most patients who got admission to health facilities were the elderly. That is, however, not the case anymore.
More patients these days are from people who are below fifty years. Patients are also inclusive of teenagers. According to Sam Page, a County Executive, individuals should get the vaccines as soon as possible because the Delta strain is spreading at an alarming rate.
What Would Happen to the Unvaccinated People?
Americans who have not been vaccinated and don’t want to wear face shields should get vaccinated to keep off the Delta variant. People cannot fail to observe the health precautions set by the American government, fail to get COVID-19 vaccinations, and expect to remain safe.
According to the doctor, some people are avoiding the jab because of previous concerns they heard about the vaccines. People even raised their concerns on different social media platforms about the other vaccines due to the fear of getting unhealthy side effects. What they don’t know is that no research has been made to show that some of the side effects arise from using the vaccine.
The Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. had initially decided not to get the flu shot, but she changed her mind after researching coronavirus and vaccines. According to the mayor, COVID-19 is real, and people should get vaccinated to avoid unnecessary deaths to believe whatever science and research teach them. With that said, Dr. Rochelle Walensky believes that the only thing that will save unvaccinated Americans is for them to get the job.
