Safra A. Catz is one of the world’s most potent immigrant CEOs. Along with Celine Dion and Robyn Rihanna Fenty, Forbes called her one of the most successful immigrant women. Catz is the top paid female CEO’s in the United States by April 2017, with a total remuneration of $40.9 million, a 23% decrease from the previous earnings in 2016.

Safra, who was born in the Israeli city of Holon, has worked her way up through the ranks of technology and mastered it. Safra now sits on the board of management of The Walt Disney Company and formerly served on the management board of HSBC Holdings plc. Catz was also the CEO of Oracle Corporation for some time where she performed exemplary. Safra was a managing director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, a global investment banking firm, before eventually in 1986 she started working for Oracle Corporation.

Catz has held the role of the company’s chief executive director since 2014. Since 2001, she has been a member of the board. She has previously worked as Oracle’s president as well as the company’s chief financial officer. Since joining Oracle in 1999, Catz has handled a variety of responsibilities before being appointed president.

For the past five years, Safra A. Catz’s leadership at Oracle Corporation has led to successful completion of over 85 acquisitions. Since 1986, she has worked at an investment banking cooperation called Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and eventually Oracle Corporation, where she earned extensive acquisitions and mergers experience.

Catz teaches Mergers and Acquisitions at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She provides a plethora of industry expertise and practical experience to this training. The course covers the fundamentals of M&A as well as some of the key takeaways from Catz’s extensive experience advising on M&A transactions.

During the 2016 Republican primary elections, Catz assisted Marco Rubio’s campaign. She eventually became a top adviser to President Trump, and she was regularly cited in the press as a possible Trump cabinet member. Catz provided over $150,000 to Republican-aligned organisations and individuals during the 2018 election campaign, including Congressman Devin Nunes, among others. In May 2020, Catz donated $125,000 to Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.

Apart from business and politics, Safra A. Catz is also a family lady. She is married to Gal Tirosh and is blessed with two beautiful kids. She cherishes her family, saying they are the backbone of her current success. Her humbleness as a loving mother and wife brings out the best version.
